Last Updated: September 25, 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Cruise San Diego LLC (“Cruise San Diego,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit cruise-sd.com, buy tickets, book a private charter, contact us, or receive text messages from us. It also covers bookings for our sister company, San Diego Whale Watch, LLC, made through our Website or reservation line.

We are a family-owned company based at 1617 Quivira Rd, San Diego, CA 92109. By using our Website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Information you give us:

  • Booking details: name, email, phone number, number of guests and cruise selection when you book through our booking provider, FareHarbor, or by phone.
  • Payment details: processed securely by FareHarbor and its payment processors. We do not store full credit card numbers.
  • Charter and contact form details: name, email, phone number, event date, guest count, event type and any notes you share about your event.
  • Mobile phone number and SMS consent: when you opt in to receive text messages.

Information collected automatically: browser type, device, pages visited, time and date of visit, and ads you click, collected through cookies, Google Tag Manager, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and similar tools.

How we use your information:

  • To process and confirm bookings, charters and payments
  • To send booking confirmations, reminders, check-in details and schedule or weather updates
  • To plan and coordinate private charters with you
  • To respond to questions and provide customer service
  • To improve our Website and understand how visitors use it
  • To show relevant ads for our cruises on other websites (see Section 4)
  • To comply with legal, safety and U.S. Coast Guard requirements

3. Text Messaging (SMS) and Mobile Information

If you opt in, we use your mobile number only to send you messages about your booking or charter. These include confirmations, reminders, check-in details, schedule or weather changes, and charter planning. We do not send marketing texts.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We share mobile numbers only with the service providers that deliver our messages, such as our texting platform (Sakari) and mobile carriers, and only so they can send messages on our behalf.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can also contact us at (619) 288-8554 or info@cruise-sd.com. Full program details are in Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions.

4. How We Share Information, Cookies and Advertising

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as FareHarbor (bookings and payments), Sakari (text messaging), website hosting and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Charter partners you choose to work with, such as caterers or entertainers, only as needed to plan your event.
  • Our sister company, San Diego Whale Watch, LLC, only to fulfill bookings you make with them. This never includes SMS opt-in data or consent.
  • Legal and safety authorities when required by law, or to protect the safety of our guests, crew and vessel.

Cookies and interest-based advertising. We allow third-party advertising companies, such as Google and Meta, to use cookies, pixels and similar technologies on our Website. These tools collect information such as browser type, time and date, and ads you click or scroll over. They use it to show you ads for our cruises on other websites. For example, if you view one of our cruise pages, you may later see an ad for that cruise elsewhere online.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising at the Digital Advertising Alliance (www.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (www.networkadvertising.org/choices). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our Website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

5. Your Choices and California Privacy Rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. California residents may also request details about how their information is shared under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies. We will not treat you differently for making a request. To make a request, email info@cruise-sd.com or call (619) 288-8554. We may need to verify your identity first.

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can unsubscribe from any emails using the link in the email.

6. Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for bookings, customer service, and legal, tax and safety records. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no online system is completely secure.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Bookings must be made by an adult. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
