On any given day, you are sure to enjoy the dolphins, whales, sea lions and birds that are native to our Southern California coast. Typically the winter months are home to the gray whales. These beautiful animals pass right off of our coast twice a year as they migrate from Alaska to Mexico starting in December and go back up north in early spring. It is after the gray whales migrate north that we start seeing the blue whales off of our coast. The blue whale is the largest animal on the planet and can be found just 6-9 miles from shore.
